Dhamma Padaya – Yamaka Waggaya
The One who is lazy by having food exceeding the limit and indulges in the Sensual pleasure of worldly things, saying that they are beautiful-delicious-pleasant because of his undisciplined senses, does not practise diligently to attain ‘Nirwana’. He will definitely be suppressed by ‘Mara’ just like a wind crushes a weak tree.
The One who is frustrated with worldly things through the understanding of their nature of ‘Anichcha-Dukkha-Anaththa’, and eats food knowing the limit works tirelessly for the sake of his liberation. He will not be suppressed by ‘Mara’ just like a rock is not shaken even in the face of a mighty wind.
