Dhamma Padaya – Thrushna Waggaya
Man indulges in thinking good and bad about whatever images come into contact with his senses because of his great longing for earthly pleasures.
Greed intensifies in him due to the graspings created by such thinking.
The person who recognises through wise contemplation how all his clingings-conflicts created with objects that come into contact with his senses cause him to suffer dwells consciously with contemplating wisely the consequences of the clingings-conflicts.
Therefore, he does not tempt to reason about the excellence and evil of any worldly thing.
He who thus ends the calamities that may befall him also breaks the bond of the ‘Mara’.
