Dhamma Padaya – Naage Waggaya
Like an elephant that endures the arrows of bows in war,
I put up with the slanderous words of many evil people.
When the king stands up in the assembly, the assembled people are disciplined and patient.
Disciplined, great men tolerate insulting words from someone in that same way.
The great tamed horse that can walk in the sky, ‘Kotaluwa’ ( born of a donkey and a female horse or horse and a female donkey), the noble horse born in the land of Sindhu, the tusked elephant, and the great who disciplined himself is a great.
