Dhamma Padaya – Naage Waggaya
One who behaves in an environment surrounded by intelligent individuals and where he can get wise advice lives with a happy mind and is conscious, averting all calamities.
If a great, virtuous person does not get to live in an environment surrounded by intelligent individuals and where he can get wise advice, he lives alone like a lonely elephant in the wild, leaving even the conquered country.
It is great to live alone without associating with fools.
Living alone does not cause them to commit sins, which leads them to be shocked. The great virtuous person effortlessly banishes vices, like an independent elephant behaves in the jungle with less effort.
Aaryasathya
