The life of one who is not ashamed of sin, searches for food like a crow, lives a comfortable life for his own destruction, and is incompetent to follow the Eight-Fold Path is impure.
The life of one who is ashamed of sin has a hard life seeking things only that are good for him and is skilful to follow the Eight-Fold Path diligently, is pure.
