Khuddaka Nikaya- KhuddakaPatah Pali
Remember that this is the sutra where the Buddha outlined the treasure we should bury in order to receive assistance in the future.
A person conceals their money or valuable items in secure locations such as in a very deep place at the end of a reservoir or a waterway, thinking to help himself in case of an emergency or a calamity that may arise in the future.
People use this method of hiding money or treasure in order to help themselves in case they need to pay a fine to the government, settle a debt, or recover from potential thieves, famine, or natural disasters.
Even if they are content with securely hiding their money or treasure in such a safe place, it will not always and surely come to one’s aid.
Sometimes, these people forget where these hidden treasures are. The treasure may occasionally be taken by Inhumans or moved by snakes to another location.
Sometimes, a different person – one whom the original owner does not favour, digs up the treasure without being seen by him and may end up being the treasure’s heir.
This treasure will disappear once someone’s merits are worn out and over.
The quality of renunciation, virtuousness, and disciplining the ‘body-word-mind’ by controlling them is the treasure that can be accumulated and well securely deposited for a woman or a man.
