Khuddaka Nikaya-Khuddakapatha Pali
Remember that this sutra is the sutra preached by Buddha, pointing out the nature and inspiration of the three jewels of ‘Buddha-Dhamma-Sanggha’.
May all the seen and unseen beings associated with the sky or the earth assembled here be of good spirit!
May all of you listen carefully to what I will point out!
Have mercy on the human community, you inhumans who harass and wreak havoc on humans because of your restlessness!
Protect immensely those who offer you various sacrifices to you day and night!
The value of the most precious thing in this world or another world or the most precious gem in heaven cannot compare to the value of the greatness of the ‘Thathahgatha’.
Out of the truth of such Buddha’s great inspiration, May you be blessed!
There is no other teaching that can compare to that Noble doctrine preached by Shakyamuni himself, which teaches how to soothe the mind by getting rid of sorrows with complete elimination of Craving and attaining ‘Nirwana’ that prevents rebirth.
Out of the truth of such great Dhamma’s inspiration, May you be blessed!
If there is a meditation plane that exists from which can definitely concentrate the mind that the Buddha praised, then it is certain that there is no other such meditative plane or meditation seen in the world. There is nothing to equal with that great Dharma.
Out of that truth of Dharma, May you be blessed.
Because of being included only in the eight highest existences in pairs of four instances, the Great noble and inspirational ‘Sangha'(monks) of the Buddha who practice the Eightfold Path or already have completed the Path are praised by pure conscious Nobles.
By offering the four basic necessities to Buddha’s such great and inspirational Celibate disciples, the lay people can cultivate immense Perfect merits (kusal) and inspirations for their wellness in this life and hereafter.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
If someone leaves his lay life and enters the Buddha’s Dispensation establishing a steady determination and practises according to that great objective steadily, he can accomplish the ‘Nirwana’ definitely by freeing the mind from clingings-conflicts, getting rid of all defilements.
The Sanggha is so great because of that.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
As how a pillar called ‘Indrakhila’ that has descended very deep into the underground cannot be moved by even a mighty wind blowing from any of the four directions, the noble disciple who has comprehended the Four noble truth wisely dwells with unwavering respect for the three jewels of Buddha- Dhamma- Sanggha’.
The Sanggha is so great because of that.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
Even though if a person (monk) who has left the lay life intending to eliminate defilements, dwells being celibate, practising the eightfold Path and yet to attain a fruit of the Path,
that monk has yet to be freed from the four hells, although he is in the Noble Eight Existences.
But from the day that noble person wisely understands the Dhamma by himself, which was well preached by the Buddha, and attains the first fruit of the Path called ‘Sowan’, he will free himself from the four hells.
That is, he is a person who has entered the first great existence (Bhava) called ‘Sowan’, out of the seven Great existences (Bhava).
The seven great existences are,
the Fruit of ‘Sowan’,
the Path of ‘Sakrudagami’,
the Fruit of ‘Sakrudagami’,
the Path of ‘Anagami’,
the fruit of ‘Anagami’,
the Path of ‘Arahath’,
The Fruit of ‘Arahath’.
Once someone enters the ‘Sowan’ existence, even if he delays attaining the next levels of existence, it is certain that he will never again be born in an existence lower than the fruit of ‘Sowan’ whilst wandering in the ‘Sansara’.
He never needs to walk in the Path of ‘Sowan’ again.
He will never be born again in the four hells or existences of miseries.
No matter how many times he is born in any existence of prosperity, he will be born in the Existence of ‘Sowan’ or higher, according to his diligence.
The Sanggha is so great because of that.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
From the point of attaining the Fruit of ‘Sowan’, the person gets the perfect cognition of ownself. Therefore, he leaves the ignorant, obstinate point of view, and also abandons the useless or futile practices he has been following for a long time to eliminate suffering.
With it, his long-held doubts about what Buddha emphasised, how the Buddha’s teachings differ from other teachings, or whether he can follow the Buddha’s teaching, and if so, how it can be achieved, will fade.
He is a person who is freed from the four hells just because that noble person does not commit any ‘Ananthariya Akusal karama’.
(the dire evil actions which result in definite worst repercussions after the death).
The Sanggha is so great because of that.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
If in any way a sinful act is committed by that person’s body, word or mind who has attained the fruit of ‘Sowan’, he does not hide that mistake from himself or others but gets that mistake corrected immediately. That is because the Buddha and all other nobles have pointed out that one should not hide such dirt.
The Sanggha is so great because of that.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
The path to ‘Nirwana’ proclaimed by the Buddha stands out from all other teachings, like the sprouts and young leaves of huge trees in the forests sparkling in the light in the first month of the summer season.
Out of the truth of such Buddha’s great inspiration, May you be blessed!
The Buddha, who comprehended the great ‘Nirwana’, declared the great ‘Nirwana’, disclosed the Path to ‘Nirwana’, and revealed a great doctrine, is a Precious Gem.
Out of that truth of inspiration, May you be blessed!
The wise ‘Arahath’ has eliminated the causes of rebirth by ceasing the effects of earlier clings-conflicts, avoiding current clings-conflicts, and ceasing the causes of future clings-conflicts.
He has eliminated the cause of rebirth because of not clinging to any future existence. He terminates his long voyage in ‘Sansara’ (birth and death cycle) with his death called ‘Piriniwan‘, like a lamp that goes out once its oil and cotton wick are depleted.
The Sanggha is so great because of that.
Out of such truth of the inspirational ‘Sanggha’, may you be blessed.
All you, the Creatures, Inhumans, who have gathered here!
By adoring the jewel of ‘Buddha’, whom mankind and gods worship, may goodness happen to you!
All you, the Creatures, Inhumans, who have gathered here!
By adoring the jewel of ‘Dhamma’, whom mankind and gods worship, may goodness happen to you!
All you, the Creatures, Inhumans, who have gathered here!
