Placing ads during sermons to make money is a powerful evil deed that leads to the four hells and is considered disrespectful towards the Buddha. Similarly, adopting documents that have been published by someone else and publishing them under your own name in the hopes of making money or obtaining other material benefits is a strong form of bad karma.
This is because, even if everything in it were to be quoted, copyright would prevent it from being published in that form. Then that person can only post the parts that they have stolen from each other. Then, he is committing the sin of Anantaria, a strong evil that distorts the Dharma.

ධර්ම දේශනා අතර තුර වෙළඳ දැන්වීම් පළකිරීම් මගින් මුදල් ඉපයීම, බුදුන් වහන්සේට සිදු කරන අගෞරවයක් වනවා සේම, සතර අපාගත වීමට සිදුවන බලවත් අකුසල කර්මයක්ද වන්නේය. එලෙසින්ම වෙනත් කෙනෙකු විසින් පලකරන ධර්ම කරුණු සහිත ලියවිලි අවසරයකින් තොරව උපුටා ගෙන, මූදල් හෝ වෙනත් ලෞකික ලාභ හෝ අපේක්ෂාවෙන් තමන්ගේ නමින් පලකිරීමද සතර අපාගත වීමට සිදුවන බලවත් අකුසල කර්මයක් වන්නේය.
එයට හේතුව නම්, කෙනෙකුට මෙහි තිබෙන සියල්ල උපුටා ගත්තත්, ප්රකාශන හිමිකම මගින් ආරක්ෂා කර ඇති නිසා, ඒ උපුටා ගත් සියල්ල ඒ ආකාරයටම පල කළ නොහැකි නිසාය. එවිට ඒ කෙනාට සිදුවන්නේ එක් එක් අයගෙන් සොරාගන්නා කොටස් පමණක් පළකිරීමටයි. එවිට ඔහු ධර්මය විකුර්ති කිරීමේ බලවත් අකුසල කර්මය වන ආනන්තරිය පාපකර්මයද සිදු කරගැනීම එකාන්තවේ.
